APPEAL BY THE EXECUTIVE.
DEFERRED PAYMENTS.
Tlie Executive of. the .Silver Bullet Cannonade feel that notwithstanding the publicity which, has been given, j donors to the fund do not fully, appreciate the fact that donations may boj spread over a period of two years. They j put it-this way: —A donor may be prepared to .give £50 down, but he would like to contribute ©. greater amount. To meet such cases the Executive have arranged to take promissory notes spread over the period of two years. If the present effort is successful no (nil on ■behalf of" the Sick and Wounded Soldiers' Fund will be msde-for two years from date. Some of .the' donors ...whose ccinti-ibiitions ha\e been acknowledged have given," say, one-fourth q:P their donatiyn in cash and spread the balance uver tho period mentioned. The Exeeu-y :tive feel trat if this fact was more generally known and appreciated a numjber of contributions would'be increased !in amount, and they appeal to those in tlie happy, position of being , able to contribute .substantial■(amounts to bear in mind tho system of deferred payments
