PETROL CONSUMPTION.

la the House of Commons, Mr As~ quith, in moving a three weeks' adjournment, said a recess was urgently needed for the purpose of freeing Ministers from attendance at the House of Commons, and enabling them to prosecute more important -w&r duties. .
The issue of petrol tickets is foreshadowed by the new regulation's under tho Defence of the Reaim Act. Tho authorities are requiring risers to supply the Government with information, regarding their consumption of petro3.
