WEDDING.

ROGERS-^ADAMB

A very pretty wedding was celebrated at Stoke yesterday, when the llev. John A. Rogers, vicar of All Saints', Nelson, was married, to Miss Eileen Hilda Adams. The bride is the younger daughter of Mr J. Langley Adams, of "Moana," Stoke, and the bridegroom is the third son of the late Mr Geo. B. Rogers, of Ihiblin. The ceremony took place 3B St. Barnabas' Church,' which had fee-en beautifully decorated for the occasion by the ladies of the district, white chrysanthemums and moss in profusion being used with fine effect. A floral arch was erected at the entrance to the chancel, and the rails and the .altar- v/ere also specially decorated. From the arch a large wedding bell of si dhriraMo "design was hung. The Bishop of Nelson- (Right llev. W. CL Sadlier) performed the ■ceremony, and was assisted Ivy the Rev. A. J. Can1, vicar of Richmond, (It is interesting to note that the Bishop, when in Australia-,, officiated at the marriago o£ one of the bridegroom's brothers.) . The bride, who was given by her father, were a handsome dress of white crop© do chine, the train lined with pale pink ninon asd a, knot of point lace. She also wore a bridal veil and orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of whito roses 'and chrysanthemums, with a touch of pink. Her attendants Avoro her sister, Miss Gladys Adams, and her cousin, Miss E. Tomlinson. The ■ bridesmaids wore dresses of blue and pink silken material respectively, with black j picture h;;w:, and gold shamrock brooches, set with pearls, the gifts or the brido.ai-oom. Their bouquets wvm of pink rosr-H. Mr James Andrew'was best man, and-Mr Horace Sadlier was groomsman. Wedding hymns were-•f-'iing by the ohoir, and Mr T. Scott, at the orgai?, played appropriate music. After tho. j'ejemony .i reception was held at "M^ar.a."
