STANLEY BROOK.

A painful accident happened on Friday evening to an old and respected resident, Mr J. A. Wilkinson, when he was returning from Motueka after seeing his son Grey off for Trentham. When nearing home the "trap capsized on a bad piece of road going from the mam road to Mr Wilkinson's house and as a result lie suffered a broken leg Ihe accident is doubly unfortunate in that Mr Wilkinson broke) the same legsome eighteen months ago through a fall from the top box of a wool press, it is only lately that he has been able to get about with any degree of comfort. As the accident on Friday, happened within call, neighbours and others were able to render prompt assistance. Dr. Pearless came up next morninoand attended to the sufferer/ and Mr Drummond conveyed him to the Hospital in his car.. Much sympathy-is expressed in thp district with Mr "and Mrs Wilkinson in their misfortune.
