C. .'Bates'.': weather .summary for' the past 30 hours: —Fair to cloudy weather has ruled generally, but a westerly disturbance has developed southward of Cook strait, and rain has fallen on tho West Coast and in Southern districts; northerly and wekterly winds havo in<:i cased to-day.
Forecast: Present indications i".re for high southerly and .westerly winds; expect cloudy and unsettled woathev, with rain following generally, with falling barometer : everywhere.
