. Palmerstoyj' North, April 17. Thomas Thompson was to-day lined £5 for reckless driving of a motor car while drunk. The Magistrate remarked on tho necessity for general legislation to prevent unlicensed drivers irom oontrollirio; ears. Thompson, on one occasion, wrecked a veranchrh post, and on a second occasion he knocked over a cah and fatally injured a" horse.
