ARTILLERY

(Received April 16, 5.5 p.m.) Amsterdam, April 15 An Austrian communique says :—

"Heavy outpost fighting developed at the mouth of the Lower Strypa and south-east of Buczacz. <n the most southern part of the battlefield we withdrew the garrisons from advanced redoubts to our main position.

"The enemy also penetrated one of our advanced positions north-east of Jaslowicz, but were ejected by counterattacks.

"The enemy's artillery has developed greater activity against the Archduke Joseph's army." ;
