Official.—M. Bourgeois, M. Thomas, General Pelle, General Joffre's Chief of Staff, and also a representative of the Foreign Ministry, will visit Italy in the middle of February for consultative

purposes. A commission consisting of Ml' Lloyd George, Mr. Bonar Law, Generals Sir William Robertson and Dv Cane, and Messrs. A. H. Lee and J. I. Macpherson, members of the House of Commons, have arrived to confer with M. Thomas, French Minister of Munitions, re the speeding up of the output of I munitions and closer co-operation in production. Mr. Lloyd .George and his colleagues held two meetings with the general fitaffis-and experts for the purpose of | framing a common armaments pro-j i gramme for the Allies. ■ j
