The military casualties resulting f ro'-n the air raid at Monastir numbered 500.
The occupation of Kara Burnu was necessary owing to a German submarine torpedoing a x British transport, with mules a few days ago, while in Greek waters. *
The vessel was beached and most of the mules were saved.
