AIR RAID IN BADEN.

FRIBURG ATTACKED BY ALLIED

AVIATORS,

REPRISAL FOR THE DOVER

OUTRAGE

(Received Jan. 30. 5.5 p.m.)

Amsterdam, Jan. 29.

A German communique mentions a nocturnal rain at Fri'burg, at the mouth of the Elbe. This is the first Allied nocturnal raid.

A later telegram shows that the air raid was at Friburg, in Baden, and not on the Elbe. It was a reprisal for the aeroplane attack on Dover.

Friburg was crowded for the celebration of the Kaiser's birthday and the theatre was packed.
