STRIKERS LEAVING FOR NEW
ZEALAND

Senator Pearce declined a labour deputation's request to intervene in the Broken Hill strike.
A number of Broken Hill strikers are desirous of proceeding to New Zealand to obtain work. The Cabinet has decided to grant permits provided the applicants satisfy the authorities that they do not intend to become, permanent residents of the Dominion.
