HELPING HAND SHOP.

The net receipts from the Helping Hand Shop (Red Cross Fund) yesterday amounted to £11 3s. The helpers were Mesdanies Percy Bond iand x Claude Hamilton, and Misses Ewart,, Richmond, Gibbs, Davidson, and Sclanders. The following districts were represented on the list of contributofies:—The city, the Port, Wakapuaka,'Waka'tii, .Stoke. Richmond, Hope, Appleby, and WakeJield. There bias been an undesirable shortage of home-made bread and cakes for the last two Thursdays. Donations of these lines will always ho most heartily welcome. The Boy Scouts were splendid, and worked with commendable vim and keenness. A generous, response is being made to the appeal for empty jam jars.
