Dunedin, Jan. 2.
A troopship arrived at Port Chalmers yesterday direct from Suez after a fast and uneventful passage. The only soldiers on board were two prisoners, whoso sentences expired at the conclusion of the voyage, when they wore io be- cfechaFgecE from the forces. Tko vessel also brought SergeantMajor Baker, of the Royal Engineers, who- has come to act as an instructor to tho Engineering Division of the Dominion forces.
