IN BANKRUPTCY.

ESTATE OF AMBROSE OROURKE. The a.c!jouri&cd meeting of creditors of Ambrose- O'Rourke, farmer, of Murchison, was held,at the office of the Deputy Official Assignee, yesterday af-teii-oon. Four creditors were present.1 The Deputy Official Assignee said that in order to separate bankrupt's debts from the partnership with Dorn I mek and Olive O'Rourke, he had called i lor detailed accounts, but only a 'few had been sent in. Ho said that Dominck. and Olive O'Rourke had made a certain offer to creditors, but it had been declined by several of the creditors. One of the creditors had intimated that they intended getting as much as they could from bankrupt's share of the estate and then claiming on the estate for the balance. There iiad been no response to the advertisement for tenders for the property. j Mr Cheek (who appeared for thfi bankrupt) sail that the offer made by the- ■ partners was no longer open. They w,ere prepared to meet the creditors in any reasor able way, and did not desire to'hf.mper them. As soon as the partnership debts were ascertained their proportion would bo paid in full by the remaining partners, but they were not prepared to buy bankrupt's share of the property. After perusal of the detailed account s iit was re&ohed that the creditors approve of the apportionment of debts as worked out by bankrupt's solicitors, and accept, tho sum of £280 from O'Rourko Biothers; if other claims come in such claims to be treated in the same manner; and that Domincic and Olive O'Rourke bo requested to signify their acceptance of this proIt was also resolved that a, draft of stock con prising 40 to 50 head "of cattle and other etoek be offered at the next Murchison sale, tho proceeds to bo divided betv.oert tho two estates. In regard to the lease-m-perpetiiifcy land of 383 acres, it was resolved that this be offered for £'1200.
