A shipment of Christchurch ccol-stored pears comprising Iveiffer's Hybrid, Beurre Diel, Beurre Clairgeau, Beurre Capiaumont, Conference, and" Marie Louise proved unsatisfactory from all points of view. Apples: Auckland Dougherty choicest TC> to 10s, others 7* to Bs, Motueka Dougherty Gs to Bs, according to samples." Delicious tire now becoming sleepy, ;tiid should have been marketed earlier; For the best offering 6s to 7s is realised", for others 5s to 5s 6d. Rhubarb "is now coming forward in larger quantities, and is selling at 8s per dozen bundles. Vegetables are now in shorter supply, and values have advanced.
