HOSPITAL SHIP MAHENO.

Wellington, Aug. 3

The Governor has been officially informed by the Secretary of State for War that the hospital ship Maheno proceeds direct from Port Said to England for the purpose of receiving men incapacitated from further service and returning them to the Dominion. She is due in Britain about the end of August, and leaves early in September, arriving back in New Zealand between l'ith and 24th October. The vessel then returns to Egypt to bring more invalids.
