(From "Tho Colonist," Juno 15.) The monthly meeting of the general committee of tho above association was hold at Richmond on Saturday evening last. Present: Messrs T. H. Holland (ih-osiJeut) Dr 'Andrew, G* W. Best, Godfrey Best, John Biggar, C. 11. Clung, Hayes Croucher, J. Hagen, J. AV;.'Hagen, AY. D. Harkness, AY. R. May, Walter Tlioni and Joseph AVelJs. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr. W. R. May, seconded, by Mr Croucher, that an auction of exhibits that may be donated for thepurposo. be held at tho-' close o? tin; sh'o»v on behalf of the Nelson Sick ami AVounded Soldiers and their Dependents' !umd. Mr May said Hint lie would give- a r-ouple of hams. Dr Andrew tendered Iri.s resignation as a member of the committees us ho proposes le'tving for-England shortly. It was resolved to accept tho resignation, regret being expressed at. losing the bonoiit of Dr Andrew's services as v cominiUennan but Jus action in offering his. sen ices to tho British Government r.us jirealiy appreciated aml a 1 minute to that oifect was recorded. I)r Andrew expressed his thanks.and said that he would-; take whatever was offered him, whether it ,was a position at the front or m a colliery district at Home.
