BATTLE IN CALICIA.
GERMAN ATTACKS REPULSED
LARGE CAPTURES BY THE
RUSSIANS

Official.—The enemy io great force attacked our position protecting Moscisks, and opened on Tuesday evening a three hours' extremely active artillery fire, partly using gas shells. Then groat masses of infantry were hurled to the assault, reaching the wire entanglements, where they wore stopped. " . 1 The enemy on Wednesday suffered severe losses and wer© thrown back 2000 paces from the trenches. We pressed tho enemy on the Ugartsberg—Zhidaczew front, capturing 2000 prisoners, including fifty officers, ber .side^ eight machine guns. Tho enemy in the Zurawno region, after a fierce fight, were driven Back behind the railway.
We captured some villages, taking 800 prisoners, including twenty officers.
