giv,—Through the medium of your vaina'ble.paper'the members of the .Nelson Ministers' Association desire to thank the proprietors of .'/The Colonist !> and the "Eveniug- Mail": for kindly 1 supplying..-«-opies.. of the daily papers to the association's reading and recreation tent, for the use of our Territorials; also Mr Thomas Cawthron.ior his generous gift of £20 towards the cover aiid equipment of the tent, the citizens \yho so kindly sent literature, Adjutant A. B. Rowlands for the loan of gas lamps, Mr W. Besley for the gift-of quoits, and Mr P. B. Strdnmnan^ who had charoe of the tent. Oiir-chaplain, the llev. B. F. Roth well, in his report, states: "The association's tent _ was i'reely-used, and the quiet opportunity to read and write was very much appreciated by the men, and many expressed their thanks to our chaplain for what the Ministers' Association had done to provide for their comforts while in cariio." H«> concludes his report, by savin"1: "The chaplains worked most cordially together, and the officers were a &ne lot of men, and their co-operation all that could be desired. all that could be desired."
