Constantinople advices state that the defeats at the Dardanelles, and the submarine Ell's exploits at the arsenal and wharf have intensified the gloom and accentuated the feeling in favour of opening the Straits and negotiating

for peace

The submarine caused widespread panic, the people shouting, "The Russians are coming!"

The troops on board the transports insisted on landing. Officers drew their swords and prevented the troops from landing, but eventually they were disembarked.

The transportation of Turkish troops in the Dardanelles is interrupted owing to the presence of a British submarine before Constantinople.

British warships attacked a German submarine at Lemnos, one of 'the Aegean Islands.

The submarine dived and disappeared. .

The Government has prohibited the export of all goods considered contraband.
