Wellington, Juno 2. A conference of delegates of the Post and Telegraph Service opened yesterday. • it was resolved that all officers should be granted monetary payment for overtime for Sundays and holiday duty; that the practice of granting time off to some junior exchange clerks should be abolished and the principle of monetary payment for Sundays and holidays be adhered to; that it was desired that all overtime be-paid twice monthlj': that duty performed after 6 p.m. ana before 8 a.m on travelling po3t offices should be paid at the rate of 9d an hour; that 44 hours a v.oek should be the oasis for officers working railway post offices, senior agents to receive additional monetary allowance; that exchange clerks working the midnight to 8 a.m. shift should recejve overtime for time worked in excess of 44 hours a week.
