To-day's news consists largely of further details of the Lusitania disaster. TJie latest German outrage has excited world-wide horror, and, especially in America, feeling has been raised to a high pitch. lh« situation is described as the gravest since the Civil War, but it is not considered probable that the President will ask Congress to consent to drastic measures, Athens messages report severe fighting at Kiiid Bahr, and the destruction of all but one of the Nagara forts. In the Western theatre the Allies have made substantial gains at several point?, inflicting heavy losses.
