COURT-MARTIALS AT RABAUL
ALL PRISONERS RELEASED

In the Federal House, it was stated that the men court-martialled at ilabaul had been released. Senator Millen suggested an uiqiury into the alleged sale of Red Cross ftifts Senator Pearce replied that "Colo'>»l Holmes had contradicted a report which was circulated by a private, wh-j afterwards withdrew the statements. All the articles presented for the feroops hnd been properly dealt with. Referring to Mr. Massey's Auckland speech, suggesting that men should register for service when required, Sevmtor Pearce 3 replying to a questiio, thought there was no occasion to establish a similar register here, as New Zealand's attitude regarding more men was precisely what the Commonwealth's attiti'de had be=>n since the beginning.
