Paris, May 7
Official.—A regiment of colonial infantry on April 25th, with a battery of 75 millimetre guns,, which were ordered to create a diversion on the Asiatic shore, landed at Kum Kale, under tha protection of guns -frsm French ships.' The disembarkation was carried out under good conditions, and the foroo marched to Knishehir, where a fierce fight began at night, and continued ' a the following day. The Turks, who were in greatly superior numbers, suffered heavily, and 500 were taken prisoners. The re-embarkation of the troops was ! effected on the night of the 26th, under the support of the warships. Meanwhile a large force landed at GallipoH. .
