HORRIBLE CRIME AT SYDNEY.
WOMAN SHOCKINGLY MAL-
TREATED
(Received May 7, 9.40 p.m.) • Sydney, May 7. The body of a woman was found in Prince Alfred Park. It bore signs of terrible ill-treatment" recalling the I notorious Mount Eennie outrage. It hais been identified as that of the wife of a chimney sweep named Pocock. Pocock states that his wife was in the habit of absenting herself for days together. She left on Thursday, and he was not aware of her movements since.
