INCREASE IN RECRUITING.
Dunec'in, May 6. There is a marked increase in the number of recruits coming forward here for the new unit and the Seventh Reinforcements, 60 men presenting themselves at the last bi-weekly examination. This is a record for a Dunedin group. Should the country districts do as well the position should be very satisfactory. ...The fact of New Zealanders having been in action appears to have had a stimulating effect.
