Wellington, May 6. The estimated' population 'jf the Dominion at March 31st excluding Maoris amf inhabitants of the Cook and other islands, was 569,578 males and 531,008 femakf?, or a total of 1,100,586. Including Maoris and islanders, the figures arc:—Males 602,502, females 5G0,52G; total 1,163,028.
