The Jason and the Globina were fishing forty miles off the Tyne. The crews were taken on board the UlO and the trawlers sunk.
The submarine transferred the crews to the trawler Rhodesia.
It hoisted the British flag, and sank the Nellie by gunfire. The crew took to a boat and were picked up two hours later.
The UlO stopped the Norwegian barque Nor, timber laden, bound for Hull, on Wednesday, and ignited the cargo.
The commander of the submarine handed the captain a certificate to the effect that the vessel was sunk under the Declaration of London. The Nor was sighted on Friday, when she was still bimiing. The Dutch collier Schi eland was mined near the Humber. One of the crovr was blown to pieces, four were injured, and seven are missing.
