There was a large audience at the Empire Theatre last evening, when the star feature of a varied programme was a fine K.B. melodrama, "Love versus Duty." The sheriff now takes a hand, and the thieves are captured. In recognition of his services Jack is made manager of one of the company's branch offices. A War -Topical of the Belgians at Louvain, an educational film of a Spanish bull-fight, a Vitagraph comedy, the latest Pathe Gazette of war news from England, and a Keystone comedy, "The Eavesdroppers," are among the subjects included in. this programme. A matineo will be held as usual at 2.30 p.m. to-day.
