MR BERNARD' PAGE'S ORGAN RECITAL.

This evening, commencing at 8.15, Mr Bernard F. Page, city organist, Wellington, will give his second and final organ recital at the School of Music. Mr Page is recognised as being in the front rank of recital organists, and his work in Wellington is invariably the subject of eulogistic criticisms. Nelsonians are fortunate in being able to hear a performer of such exceptional merit 1 1 their own city, more especially as only a nominal charge is being made fur admission. Mr Page is repeating, by special request, thei "Woodland Sketches" <if Mac-Do well, and Willan's "Epilogue." Among the other more important items of this evening's programme is the Finale to Tchiakovsky's Sixth Symphony, the symphony which the composer declared was the finest work he ever attempted. Another Cesar Franck item is included, being the Prelude Fugue, and Variation (Op. jS). A Rhapsodic of Saint Saens, Salome's '"Eglogue," and ''Suite Ancienne" (Holloway) are among some of the other selections to be given this evening. It is hoped that Mr Page's efforts will be rewarded by a very large attendance of the public a.s an indication that the visit of such an artist is properly appreciated.
