MASSACRE THREATENED IN
RETALIATION

The- "Daily Telegraph's" Athens correspondent says the German Ambassador at Constantinople warned the Minister of a Balkan State that in the event of the Allies' fleet forcing the Dardanelles the Turks would massacre the Christian population.
The "Daily Mail's" Cairo correspondent says that while Zeke Pasha recently declared at Damascus that a slaughter of Christians would follow any bombardment of the coast. The Sheik of Damascus during a sermon protested that the present was not a holy war, adding, "We are allied with Christians against Christians."
