FRENCH WOMEN COMPELLED TO BURY GERMAN DEAD.

Germans at Moyen requisitioned all I'io women and^marched them SO miles
i'bo a forest, where during the whole r'; the night,- under fire of French
.: tells, they were compelled to bury •C or man dead. They had to carry the corpses on their shoulders a distance of 300 yards from the trenches to readymade graves. When women fell exhausted, the .German soldiers pricked them with bayonets and kicked them until they rose up and resumed their task. At daybreak girls and women were feebly crawling along the- ground dragging corpses by the legs and arms.
