A unique offer of assistance was mentioned by the Prime Minister in the House of Representatives to-day. The contractor for No. 15 Westport-Inanga-hua railway contract had written statiag thiit he wished to assist the Government by allowing Ws profit of £400 doe on the contract to remain in the Government's hands without interest tiatil fehe war is over.
Mr. R«»a©!l: I hope ho will get the next contract.
The Prime Minister: Yes, and make another £400.
