BERLIN SOCIALIST PAPER'S

COMPLAINT

Amsterdam, Sept. 11.

The Berlin Socialist paper "Vorwaerts" says that war prisoners are now being treated badly in German cities. It instances the case of a male nurse being flogged for making a dying Frenchman's will, and a fatal attack on a Belgian clergyman accompanying the war prisoners at a camp in Saxony, on the ground that he incited civilians to attack the Germans in Belgium. The "Vorwaerts" asks whether tho troops were not" instructed to afford proper piotection to war prisoners.
