Sir George Reid presided at the Aus-trala;-.n dinner at the Trocadero There were, 250 guests present.
Prince Alexander of Teck, the new Governor-General, in responding to the i toast of "Canada," recalled the warmi ness of Australasia's welcome and hospitality to him in 1901. Lord Bryce, in proposing the toast of the "United States," assured Mr Page, the American Ambassador, of Australasia's friendship,, of which he had many proofs during his recent visit. , Mr. Page * acknowledged the value of Australasia's and the United States's mutual exchange of social and" economic
experience.
