ACCIDENT ON THE THAMES.
SERIOUS EXPLOSION ON MOTOR LAUNCH.
London, June 6
Sir DouglasMawson and his party were descending the Thames in a motor launch, when the engines exploded. The engineer and another man were thrown into the river and swam ashore. The rest of the party brought the launch to the shore., and escaped just as she sank in deep water. It would appear from the above message that Dr. Mawson has been included in the list of those who have receivpd King's Birthday honours. It v,t,'^ stated last week that the publication of the list had been postponed.
