TAPAWERA.
A meeting of residents from Motupeko, Tapawera, Tadmor, and surrounding districts was held at Tapawera on Friday night, with the object of forming a branch of the Reform League. Mr G. Macmahon presided. Messrs A. A. Paape (Kcform League organiser) and R. P. Hudson (candidate for the Motueka seat) were present, and Mr Hudson addressed the- meeting. Mr Paape briefly outlined thq procechiro in the formation of a branch of the league, after which it was unanimously decided to form a Motupeko-Wangapeka branch of the league. The following officers and committee were elected : President, Mr Geo. Macmahon; vice-presidents, Mr. W. B. North and Dr. J. C. Grinling; secretary and treasurer, Mr. Alex. Langster, jun. ;' committee, Messrs F. W. Gibbs (Tapawera), W. J. Stevens (Tadmor), R. B. Macmahon (Tapawera), S. Wadsworth (Tapawera), A, Drummond (Tapawera), John Smith (Tapawera), J. G. Quinney (Tapawera), A. A Biggs (Tapawera), H. G. Berryman (Kohatu), W. H. Phillips (Sherry River), G. Cameron (Matareki), E. L. Newport (Korere), W. Fawcett (Tadmor), J. H. Price (Baton), A. Oldham (Tui), C. P. Hugonin (Kohatu), and S. Moffatt (Tadmor). The meeting closed with votes of thanks to the chair, and to Mr Hudson for his address.
