BURIAL OF BLUEJACKETS.

PRESIDENT WILSON JOINS THE PROCESSION.

New York, May 13.

The bodies of the American bluejackets and marines who were kilM at Vera Cruz were borne on artillery caissons in solemn procession thrdugh the streets, which were lined by silent,-bare-headed citizens.

President Wilson joined the procession against the advice of the Secret Service officers.

The President, speaking at the funeral declared that he did not want to fight the Mexicans; he wanted to serve them. America had gone to Mexico to serve mankind if she could.
