Wellington, April 29. At the Magistrate's Court to-day two men, Albert Han&en and Harry Spooner, were charged with stealing and offering for sale furniture belonging to a woman resident in Frederick street, who had been ordered to .undergo detention in connection with a case heard last week. In the afternoon of the day the woman was sent to the' Salvation Army Homo the accused went to her place and removed tho furniture, which they attempted to sell to a second-hand dealer. The .accused pleaded guilty, and were committed for sentence. Haasen was also fined 40s, or one omnth, for resisting arrest.
