- Auckland, April 28 At a largely attended meeting of the Newmarket branch of.the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants," Held during the lunch hour yesterday, the following resolution was earned unanimously: "That this meeting-emphatic-ally protests against tho Government's proposal to have the- new rolling stock built by private firms, while Eoms 500 men wore dismissed from tho. service in different parts of Iho Dominion on account of tho work in hand being finished."
