DAVIS CUP CONTESTS

Vigorous efforts are being made to have the Davis Cup contest held here. The Canadians are unable to meet the Australians in England, hence New York is suggested as a convenient centre. The Canadians, however, desire to play on home grounds "if pos-
sible.
