At the Show, in the class for ironies under 14.2, Dawn, owned by Mr. Gee, of Canterbury, was first. ■. ■ ' ■

At the stock sales high prices ruled. A Shorthorn bull, sold on behalf of Mr Deuglas McLean, of Hawkesbury, realised 370 guineas, and others 105 to 240 guineas. A Shorthorn bull sold on behalf of Mr. Simpson, Hamilton, fetched 400 guineas, and a Devon bull, the property of Mr. White, Havilash, fetched the record price of 225 guineas.. Shorthorn heifers sold on account of Mr. Nixon, of Killinchy, Canterbury, ranged-to .49 guineas.
