Manzeni in tho meantime signed on as a deck hand on a mail steamer, i lerrot having gone to America, had the snakes with him. To his astonishment he .«aw Manz/ni billed to dive into- a tank from a great height. Just as he_, was about to dive a huge snake placed there by Pierrot bit him. and he was S hurtling into the arena.
