CONDEMNED BY WOMEN'S CONFERENCE.
; Melbourne, March 5. 5: The Australasia j Woman's Coriferenoe resolved that all members of the^ Association should refrain from the I prevailing fashion of indecorous attire. The mover made a warm condemnation of the prevailing fashions, and said it was dreadful to see in the trams and trains, women who had lost all sense of decency and modesty. She was snr- J prised that the Government had not taken action. If the unfortunate elas^ of women wore, such costumes the i police would arrest thorn. It was de-j generating for respectable women to see others wearing.insufficient clothing to cover the body. She saw a window display of tango underskirts being viewed more by men than by women.
