The demand is improving, but prices are unchanged for New Zealand. The Danish market is quiet, but steady, per civt. 12;3s to 1265. The New Zealand, market is quiet, but steady, 113s to XUh ; Australian, fair demand, 109s to 112s; Argentine, market steady. 110s to 112s; Siberian, good demand, 110s to U2s. Cheese.—The market is weaker, with prices slightly lower. Complaint is made by the trade that the New .Zealand factories do noji act in accordance with the instructions of merchants in making the proportion of white and coloured. Canadian white, per cwt, 63s to 60s; coloured 71s to 72; New Zealand market slow, white 63s to 705., The estimated stocks of Canadian cheese at London, Liverpool, and Bristol on 2nd February were 123,000 boxes, against 210,000 at the same time last year. New Zealand and Australian stocks at London and Bristol, 12,700 crates, against 14,000 at the same- time last year. Hemp.—The New Zealand market is dull on account of .heavy arrivals. The ?ales this week include fair in dock at 625 10s per ton fair £'23; January t# March good fair £28, fair £23 15s. The Manila nirrket is quiet, with prices slightly weaker. Tow -in near positions sold at £12 5s per ton first grade, second grade £11 ss, third grade" £10 10s to £10 15s. Forward shipment .sellers holding off. Cocksfoot. —The mark.t is quiet, but steady. There is better demand for.New Zealand owing to absent.3 of Danish offers.
Hops.—The market i« dull, with very little business; 1913 crops, English, per c.vt., 140s to ISOs ; Continent, 120s to 2'2os ; American, 9-5s to 12Gs. Wool.—Business in tops is apparently improving, and the market is steadier. Current Bra-dford quotations are 46's, low crossbreds 3->!-d.; 40's do. lo|d: 14's medium cros^breds 16Jd; 50's halfnreds IUVd ; oiY* quarter-breds 21 ;, 4d; fiO's Merinos 27Jd.
