NELSON JOCKEY CLUB.

A meeting, of the committee of the Nelson Jockoy Club was held at Mercer's rooms yesterday afternoon, the president (Mr E. E. Trask) in the chair, to make arrangements for the forthcoming ra-ce meeting. Three new members were elected. After a ballot the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company were granted the sale of privileges, which takes place next Saturday at 11 o'c'ock. . 'Arrangements were mnde to advertise the race meeting oatside of Nelson. It was reported that the erection of th© new judge's- box would be commenced after the Trotting Club's meeting. Several other matters were discussed, and the meeting terminated with a vote of thanks to the chair.
