APPOINTMENTS TO THE STAFF

Westport, Js-,11. 19

At the Westport Harbour Board meeting to-night the following appointments were made: Harbour-master, £400 per year, Captain Furneaux; assistant-secretary, £300 per .year, Mr. G. N. Greenland; junior clerk, £150 per year, Mr. J. M. Sunley. It was decided to invite applications for the combined position of marine engineer and secretary at a salary of £600 a year; the position to be filled for one or two years, the idea being to acquire the harbour data in that time, then to invite applications for the position at £1000 a year.
