MOTUEKA.
A match between a team from Nelson andthe Motueka sub-association was played on Boxing Day on the local courts, and resulted in an easy win for Nelson by 137 games to 72. The play of the visitors was much admired', particularfy the fine; fast, game of the ladies. ■ The" games, were contested in a fine 'sporting^ spirit^ and the visit of auch experts will have a highly beneficial effect on the game here. The visitors • were entertained by the home club at lunch in the. Post Office- hotel, and to afternoon tea onvthe ground.
