• Advices' '■■frdm.S Norfolk Island state that the steamer Knight of the Garter has arrivedi there. She called at Easter. Island~; and rescued ..eight maroqited members of the crew (>f the American schooner El Dorado, which was abandoned in June last in a sinking condition. The captain and two of tho crew left the island in a lifeboat two months pre-viously-for Tahiti, and have i.ot hh.ee been heard of.
