Wellington, Dee. 30. The Dominion Meteorologist's smnvriary and forecast, aa from 6 p.m. today, are as follows— The barometric pressure is now about normal overywhoro, jind fair to cloudy weather has" prevailed. High temperatures have hoon reported in many parts of tlie country, the winds have been 'variable, -and "mostly moderate. Present .indications are for a temporary rise in the barometer preceding a decided fall before the .end of the week, when ii westerly low pressure area is due to pas* in thy, south. Tho winds will bo variable, but westerly prevailing, and changing to increasing northerly affcw from 24 to 36 hours. The *kics will be changeable, misty at times, but fair to rloudy g_eneral.y. with warm and I)-amid conditions.
